Bio

I am Principal designer and co-founder of DEZUDiO, a partnership that provides a full range of user research, interaction and visual design consulting services across media and platforms.My experience lies in interaction design, visual design, user research, and data visualization. I have used design methodologies to approach complex challenges like making nutrition labels easier for kids to understand and presenting post-game sports statistics in a way that allows fans to enjoy a game that they missed. I have done simplification work for large financial and insurance companies such as Merrill Lynch and Liberty Mutual, helping them to better communicate with their customers. I have also conducted user research exercises with the US Army, working with soldiers in the field to understand their daily needs in a combat environment and translate these into software that helps save lives.

I have a Masters in Design from Carnegie Mellon University. In college I was a captain of Allegheny College’s women’s basketball team. In addition to running, biking, skiing and golfing, I still find time to play basketball on Tuesday nights.
